MREH 10th Annual       Opthalmic Conference

Excellence in sight: A decade of Ophthalmic care, a future of opportunity

Shaping the future of Ophthalmic Care

Welcome to the 10th Annual Manchester Royal Eye Hospital (MREH) NMAHP Ophthalmic Conference.

As one of the world’s oldest and most respected eye hospitals, Manchester Royal Eye Hospital has been delivering specialist ophthalmic care for over 200 years. Located in the heart of Manchester, our long history of innovation and compassionate care continues to shape the way we support patients, train professionals and develop new models of practice.

This year marks a significant milestone for our NMAHP Ophthalmic Conference. As we look ahead to what ophthalmic care may look like in the next decade, we will also reflect on the developments and achievements that have shaped the previous decade. The programme explores the evolving roles of our workforce, from nurse‑led corneal services to the expanding contribution of RNAs and the growing shift toward community‑based care. It is an opportunity to share learning, consider new perspectives and connect with colleagues across the profession.

For the first time, we are also welcoming applications from those who may wish to contribute to the agenda. Across the UK, there are many examples of thoughtful, innovative and impactful work taking place within ophthalmology. If you are involved in a project or initiative that aligns with this year’s theme, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Whether you are joining us as a delegate, exploring the programme or considering submitting a proposal to speak, we hope this year’s conference offers a welcoming space to learn, reflect and share what matters to our communities.
